Roy’s lived in his classic Victorian in the historic West Adams neighborhood of L.A. for 25 years. But his four-bedroom house is really more than this bachelor needs, and he’s ready to downsize. Designer Roger Hazard’s first order of business is to clear out all the excess clutter from the various rooms. Then it’s on to painting – Roger has a bold plan that will transform these dull pink rooms and make the beautiful architectural details stand out. Host Tanya Memme convinces Roy to actually use his chairs, and off comes the plastic that’s covered them for years. Removing the carpet to expose the beautiful hardwoods is a multiple-person chore, resulting in a near-wardrobe malfunction for Tanya! With a little effort, Roger shows that a classic home can undergo a 21st century facelift and still remain true to its roots.
