Kihei, HI
Aired on Apr 03, 2005Vicki’s lived in her Kihei home for three years, but she’s moving back to the mainland to be closer to family, so it’s time to sell her home. The only problem is – she has too much stuff! The first order of business for our designer Roger Hazard, is to pare down everything in the house to it’s essentials. That means removing furniture, neutralizing and putting away most of Vicki’s clothes. But convincing Vicki to part with her stuff is a job in itself! Then it’s on to the bathroom, where the real-live jungle outside isn’t visible for the jungle inside. Will all the hard work pay off? Tanya Memme hosts.
San Francisco, CA
Aired on Jul 21, 2007A huge five bedroom house, in a new development, with an amazing backyard is just sitting on the market in San Francisco. So why haven’t there been any nibbles on this amazing home? Well for starters, the first thing you see upon entering the house is beautiful living room…accept there’s no couch or chairs, just one huge pool table. And did we mention the dart board on the bright orange wall? The bedroom feels like walking into a jungle…literally. We’ve never seen so many leopard prints in one place! But, this is just another day on the job for Design Expert Roger Hazard. He advises a swap between the existing pool room and living room spaces making the house much more inviting. We tone down that bright orange wall, and attempt to remove some leopards from the jungle. But will Angel’s mom be able to part with all her leopard d cor? Tanya Memme hosts.
Haiku, HI
Aired on Apr 10, 2005Mark and Nancy Townsend have lived in their house for 15 years, in the beautiful rainforest just off the North Shore of Maui. With so much going for it, you’d think someone would want to snatch up this piece of paradise. But one look at the downstairs “ohana” and you’ll find out why this place isn’t moving! The rental unit is inhabited by two surfers for whom housekeeping is not a top priority. The carpets are filthy, the kitchen hasn’t been cleaned in ages, and the bedrooms are best left unmentioned. That’s where design consultant Roger comes in. A surf theme keeps the place true to its roots, but instead of turning people away, the new ohana invites them to stay! Tanya Memme hosts.
Los Angeles, CA
Aired on Apr 17, 2005Roy’s lived in his classic Victorian in the historic West Adams neighborhood of L.A. for 25 years. But his four-bedroom house is really more than this bachelor needs, and he’s ready to downsize. Designer Roger Hazard’s first order of business is to clear out all the excess clutter from the various rooms. Then it’s on to painting – Roger has a bold plan that will transform these dull pink rooms and make the beautiful architectural details stand out. Host Tanya Memme convinces Roy to actually use his chairs, and off comes the plastic that’s covered them for years. Removing the carpet to expose the beautiful hardwoods is a multiple-person chore, resulting in a near-wardrobe malfunction for Tanya! With a little effort, Roger shows that a classic home can undergo a 21st century facelift and still remain true to its roots.
Las Vegas, NV
Aired on Aug 11, 2007An unbelievably messy townhouse in an unbelievably boring development makes for a very tough sell…add to that about a dozen other for sale signs in the same complex and you have one selling nightmare. Design expert, Roger Hazard sure has his work cut out for him in this episode! Tanya Memme hosts.
Cathedral City, CA
Aired on Jun 05, 2005Set in the desert oasis town of Cathedral City, California, with a pool out back, and lots of living space, Reina and Debbie’s place should be a quick sell, but instead the house is lingering on the market. It’s time to get serious. In the den, the faux finish on the walls looks like smoke, so we replace the tired browns with a cheerful new shade of green. We then return the living room to it’s original purpose by removing the pool table and creating a comfortable seating area. Quick staging work in the bedroom and some accessorizing throughout the house, and Reina and Debbie’s place becomes a classy retreat. Tanya Memme hosts with design consultant Roger Hazard.
Las Vegas, NV
Aired on Aug 18, 2007A huge house with tons of space, a great backyard, and just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. It should be a real estate agent’s dream come true, but that isn’t the case for the Barrows. The best way to describe this Vegas home is average. What does design expert Roger Hazard have planned to take this home from average to fabulous? We’ll make over the fireplace, create a spa like getaway in their master bath, and turn their patio into a desert oasis. Tanya Memme hosts.
Burbank, CA
Aired on Sep 08, 2007Matt Ross is a bachelor if we’ve ever seen one! And his house shows it. There’s no d cor, the place is filthy, and every piece of furniture he owns is a hand-me-down. Not to mention the fact that Matt still owns a waterbed, and has an extremely outdated kitchen. It’s obvious Roger Hazard and the team have got their work cut out for them in Burbank. Roger devises a plan to redefine almost every room in the house. He’s ripping down curtains, moving entire rooms, and even painting the kitchen bright orange! You won’t want to miss this timely transformation.
Key West, FL
Aired on Jun 26, 2005Mimi and Ernie have lived on Cudjoe Key for twelve years. These avid boaters and fishermen love the relaxed lifestyle the island life represents, but with son Austin getting bigger everyday, they need way more space. Their house has bright sunny rooms, a wrap-around deck, and even its own private canal with a straight shot to Cudjoe Bay! But four months on the market, and they haven’t gotten a bite. After an an open house, the Oskey’s learn what people really think. Austin’s room is toned down with a lighter color of walls and less furniture. Roger has decided the “Margarita” green walls of the living room have got to go. Will Mimi let go of her faux finish? And you don’t want to miss Roger’s ingenuity with trash cans. Tanya Memme hosts.
Burbank, CA
Aired on Sep 15, 2007Dennis and Gina own the biggest house on the block. But that sure hasn’t helped them get their place sold. They’ve gone overboard on the shabby chic d cor, and open house guests are so confused they aren’t even sure what each room is for. But, Design Expert Roger Hazard has a plan to tone down the shabby and play up the chic. He’s creating a traditional parlor, a stunning formal dining room, and a warm cozy family room…and he’s doing it all with furniture Dennis and Gina already own. It’s a lesson in staging you won’t want to miss.
Lynwood, WA
Aired on Sep 22, 2007Tom and Dedra have tried everything they can think of to sell their house. But, despite all they’ve done, this rambler is still on the market. Designer Roger Hazard has a pretty good idea why. Tom and Dedra have simply taken the staging too far. Their house has become cold and uninviting. Roger shows them how to warm the rooms and make the house feel cozy. Plus, you won’t want to miss the room that rendered Roger speechless. Find out if he’s able to come up with a solution to the weirdest feature ever encountered.
Austin, TX
Aired on Jul 31, 2005Nancy has two boys and a wedding coming up. She needs a bigger house for her growing family, but first she’s got to sell the one she has. It’s got a comfortable living area with beautiful windows and three spacious bedrooms. But Nancy’s home has been showing for over three months without an offer. Despite the space, open house guests feel trapped by the clutter in Nancy’s dining room and the dark color of the walls. The living room is stuffed with furniture, blocking access to the bookshelves and the backyard. It also sports a bright orange Texas Longhorns color scheme! Roger has decided the orange walls in the living room will be painted over and everything will be taken out that is not a basic essential. Will Nancy give up her Longhorns theme in order to sell her house? Tanya Memme hosts.
Renton, WA
Aired on Sep 29, 2007First time homeowners are snatching up the affordable real estate in this up and coming Seattle suburb…that is except for the Stites house. Bryan and Tiffany have had their house on the market for months without any offers. So what’s the problem? Well, for starters the place is dull, dingy and lacks style. The television is so huge, there’s not much space left for people to hang out in the living room. And, entering the master bedroom feels like stepping into a cave! Design Expert Roger hazard, has a plan to help young home buyers see the potential of this hidden gem. Instead of staging, he’s stylizing. We’re turning this old dull home into a hip and trendy bungalow. You won’t want to miss one of the biggest transformations ever.
Sacramento, CA
Aired on Oct 13, 2007Mike Byron, who spent several years in Bali, has decorated his condo in Sacramento, Calif., in tropical colors to remind him of his idyllic days on that island paradise. Mercer Island, WA
Aired on Aug 14, 2005The Collingwood family has lived at their large Mercer Island home for 12 years. It’s in a desirable secluded neighborhood just over the bridge from Seattle. Homes in this neighborhood normally sell within two weeks on the market, but for some reason this house with its stylish living room, lush back yard and large deck has been on the market for over a year and a half. Our designer, Roger Hazard, is ready to step up to the challenge. He makes Rob clear out the spare room he’s been crashing in. He takes some extra furniture for the downstairs, and tones down the rooms blue carpet with a strong gray drop cloth used as a linen. After a few furniture adjustments to each room, the place is ready for action. But will the makeover push someone into buying? Tanya Memme hosts.
Sacramento, CA
Aired on Oct 20, 2007Dusty and Joannie call their purple master bedroom a “plum explosion,” but it’s making the house plum near impossible to sell. Making the situation even worse is the cranberry accent wall, the “short-bus yellow” living and dining rooms, and the saddest-looking patio you’ve ever seen. Can Roger put this train wreck of a house back on track and make it marketable?
Stratford, CT
Aired on Nov 03, 2007Norina and Anthony Santana of Connecticut have lived in their home for more than 10 years–and it shows. The Santanas own the most hideous painting we’ve ever seen. And their home is extremely personal; guests face hundreds of unfamiliar Santana family photos when they enter the house. Convincing the Santanas to take down the painting is easy, but will they part with the photos? Designer Roger Hazard gives us all some valuable lessons in how to depersonalize a house and add some style to it. Tanya Memme hosts.
Summerville, SC
Aired on Sep 11, 2005Sallie’s Summerville, South Carolina home has a big backyard with a swimming pool, over 2,700 square feet of living space, and lots of charm! Other homes in the neighborhood often sell in less than two weeks, so why can’t she find a buyer? Well, for starters, it could be the 25-year-old wallpaper in the entryway. Then there’s the matter of the two stoves in the kitchen, and lots of unused space that just doesn’t bring folks in. Sounds like what this place needs is a big update. We head to the kitchen for some modernization, repaint the cabinets, and with a few clever tricks, home-design consultant Roger Hazard has us update the hardware. Then, it’s adios to the extra stove. Next it’s time to spruce up some old furniture around the house. Will all these great changes be enough to make this house move? Tanya Memme hosts.
Bridgeport, CT
Aired on Nov 10, 2007Elaine Lezniak owns a multi-family colonial style house in a historic neighborhood with lots of New England charm, so you’d think potential buyers would be lining up. Designer Roger Hazard has a huge challenge ahead of him as he tries to restore the house to its original look and give it a coordinated design theme–all without breaking the bank. Tanya Memme hosts.

San Diego, CA
Aired on Dec 15, 2007Phil Edwards’s beach house in San Diego is boring potential buyers–and the high price isn’t helping, either. The place looks nothing like the hip and active beach just steps from the front door, and the price is a cool one million bucks. Roger Hazard has only three days to make the place feel and look like a million bucks, too. Don’t miss this lesson on style for the young and trendy. Tanya Memme hosts.

First, Sarah watches the hidden house open house footage and learns that folks aren’t too keen on her color scheme, her housekeeping style, or the missing knobs on her kitchen cabinets. Fortunately, our design expert Roger Hazard is waiting in the wings to totally transform Sarah’s condo. First, it’s time to clean! Then it’s on to painting to brighten things up. For a little diversion, we head outside to add a little curb appeal. Goodbye weeds, hello color–in the form of a few attractive bedding plants. Tanya Memme hosts.
Marietta, GA

Nashville, TN
Aired on Feb 09, 2008David is an accomplished opera singer, so naturally he’s immersed himself in culture. His house however, lacks culture, style, or sophistication. Their living room is so tiny, buyers have no idea how they will get their furniture to fit! David did a surprise makeover for his wife in the master bedroom…let’s just say it was definitely a surprise for Shannon. The downstairs mother-in-law suite is so outdated not even the most old fashioned of mother-in-laws would want to live there. Designer Roger Hazard has a plan to bring this space together. They’ve been trying to sell this place for an entire year! This is surprising since the house is actually pretty clean and free of clutter–aside from the Harley Davidson memorabilia. Designer Roger Hazard has a plan to take this place from average to outstanding starting with the Florida room, and you’re not going to believe the color he chose. You’ve heard of Florida oranges–how about an orange Florida room? It’s a lesson in color you won’t want to miss. Tanya Memme hosts.
Philadelphia, PA
Aired on Mar 08, 2008Dmitry lives on a quaint street lined with beautiful brick condos….which creates one huge problem for sellers. Every single place looks exactly the same from the outside, so the inside really needs to stand out. Then, every single woman who steps into the place is turned off by the cold and uninviting space. And if that wasn’t enough, Dmitry has a giant mirror attached to the living room wall, we’re talking floor to ceiling reflection. As always, Designer Roger Hazard has a plan to whip this condo into perfect selling condition. He’ll warm up this condo and the hearts of every woman who walks through. Plus, you’ll never believe a mirrored wall could look so good. Tanya Memme hosts.
